Intelligent form of compression dressing
The implantation of any electrophysiological device carries the risk of serious hemorrhagic complications such as hematoma in the implantation site after implantation of cardiac stimulation devices, i.e. pacemaker or cardioverter.

Application area
PacePress device is an intelligent form of compression dressing. Its purpose is to reduce the risk of hemorrhagic complications at the site of implantation of devices used in cardiac electrotherapy. For patients who use double antiplatelet therapy, the risk of hematoma increases significantly. Solutions used so far are not sufficient. They limit the patient's movements and are not comfortable for patient. Moreover, they not ensure full effectiveness in preventing potential hemorrhagic complications. As a result of consultations with doctors, based on their many years of experience and observations, PacePress - an innovative compression dressing was developed.
Benefits of using PacePress compression dressing:
Structure
PacePress device consists of a pumping unit and a compression cuff with a harness (graphic below). Patient wears the harness for a few days (less than 10 days). The device has several built-in pressure levels to choose and the elastic straps allow for additional adjustment. The easy-to-use interface of the device enables quick and intuitive operation, as well as provides clear light and sound signals. The pumping unit is located in a light and handy housing. The pumping unit also has the clip, which enables attaching the device to the body comfortably, e.g. on a belt of compression cuff harness or a trousers belt.

Medical tests
PacePress device has undergone many technical tests and clinical trials are currently in progress in Poland, which is a precondition for obtaining the CE mark. At the same time, preparations are made to conduct clinical trials in the US and Medinice cooperates with PacePress Inc. in the process of obtaining the FDA certificate. Further development versions of the PacePress device are planned and consulted with doctors.
